Peter Beacock

Peter BeacockPeter (or “Moss” as he’s affectionately called by the band) was born and raised in Galt, Ontario, playing in local bands from the mid-sixties until the present. He came from a musical family and was fortunate to grow up in a very musical household.
Peter was a member of Major Hoople’s Boarding House for fourteen years. Over the next 20 years, he was involved in the design and construction of many large multi-media entertainment systems, recording studios, and listening spaces.

Peter has also worked on the design and marketing of many successful consumer products. He has written and recorded dozens of songs and has written jingles for a diverse group of companies, including Home Hardware and Canadian National Railways.

Currently he works as a consultant and operates a portable recording facility, called Grand Mastering, located in Waterloo. Grand Mastering provides mixing and mastering, supporting the vibrant local music scene.

He is currently a board member of the Kitchener Blues Festival, and a former board member of the Grand River Blues Society, committee member of the Arts Awards Waterloo Region and a former board member of Heartwood Place.
